Thanks so much to you all for your love and support of our Elder Juker! He really loves and appreciates your letters!
This month he has encouraged me to tell you to send “Dear Elder” letters. As he puts it “THEY ARE FREE”. Just go to www.dearelder.com and click that you want to write a letter. Then click on his mission - Mexico, Mexico City West Mission, then write his name and write the letter. They will print it out and send it to him on a weekly basis. So anything that gets submitted to them by midnight Sunday night gets sent to him on Monday.
For his mission there is no cost, so you are saving, postage, stationary, and envelopes. YAY And best of all Elder Juker gets some good news from home and those who love him!
Thanks again - we really appreciate it!!

Hello to all of Steven’s friends, family and acquaintances. In one of Steven’s last emails to me he asked me to post to all his friends to please write him. So - take a minute and drop him a note of encouragement, news, an uplifting thought, an “atta boy”, share a spiritual experience, or just a hi - I miss you.
His email is steven.juker@myldsmail.net
He also said if I see any cute girls to give them his email address too - so all you cute girls out there - here it is.

Steven has been blessed to serve in the Salt Lake City mission while he awaits his Visa to continue on to Mexico City.
He is thrilled to be in the field and looking for people to teach!
At General Conference last week he was able to see many of his friends and had pictures taken with some of them. His sister Jenny was sad to have missed seeing him by five minutes!

Looks like a 6th Ward Missionary Reunion
This picture is several 6th Ward missionaries. Some serving now, some just recently home, and one getting ready to go! Left to Right they are Elder Daniel Burns, Jason Mann, Ian Montierth, Josh Feil, Justin Mann, Ryan Miller, Elder Steven Juker, and Andrew Owen.

Cousins
Elder Steven Juker, Soon to be Elder Ian Montierth, and Elder Daniel Burns
Daniel and Steven are currently serving in the same mission.

Well I received the first letters from Steven today. It was very unexpected as I didn’t think that I would receive anything until this Thursday and then I was thinking e-mail.
Well anyway he was pretty excited that he saw both Rex and John the first day and said it was awesome to see them. He saw Elder Houghton the next day at lunch as well (not sure who that is). He said “I feel the spirit a lot and also feel a love for my companion and others in my district. They are all awesome.”
He didn’t have a teacher the first day so it was a pretty relaxed day, but they studied and worked on their “purpose” (he memorized it before he left =)).
He also PS’ed that he scored a goal in soccer on P day. He sent his love to everyone!
The second letter was short and mostly about his immunizations, but he did say that they got a teacher and everything is awesome! I am glad that he uses that word to describe his experience so far. It makes me smile!!
That’s all for now - he did encourage the use of Dearelder.com and I second that, it’s “awesome” lol.

Having Steven (Uncle Tenin) as a roomate for the last year was a blessing! He is a great kid! He is one of the kindest people I know. He is my best friend! Steven is very friendly with a magnetic personality. Seeing Steven prepare for his mission and getting to know some of his friends that are on missions or getting ready to go on a mission has been a really neat experience. I loved to see him play with my kids. They already miss Uncle Tenin! I am so excited for Steven to have this opportunity to learn and grow and teach and whatever else happens on a Mission! I hope that we can maintain this blog to help keep family and friends up to date on Steven and his Mission progress.
Steven is leaving Thursday the 15 to Utah, on his way to the MTC, where he will report on Wednesday the 21st of July. You can register an account with http://www.dearelder.com where you can send steven pouch letters to the MTC and to the Mexico City West Mission for free.
Check back for updates!!
p.s. If you have any problems, or questions please feel free to email me at rjuker@gmail.com.
